The motive for AFFIRMATIONS is to accept what is, that's it. If you are AFFIRMING so that you get something from it, they won't work. This is the famous Gestalt Paradox of Change. If you AFFIRM so that you can achieve X, the process won't work. You must simply AFFIRM just to AFFIRM that statement is true . . . it may not be just yet, the magic is when you say it and FEEL it as true, no matter if it is true as this moment in your life. Kinda weird and that's the way our psychology works.
Become AWARE you are doing X. Accept you are doing X with no reservations. Learn a NEW WAY TO BEHAVE. ASSERT yourself and behave in the new way. Most people get stuck on ACCEPTING what is is.
